It’s a question I get asked more than almost any other: “What will you actually be able to tell me?” It’s a fair question, especially if you’ve never had a reading before and your only reference point is what you’ve seen on television.

So here’s an honest answer — no fluff, no vague promises — about what a psychic reading can (and can’t) do.

First, Let’s Clear Something Up

There’s an important difference between a psychic reading and a mediumship reading, and many people use the terms interchangeably. In a psychic reading, I’m connecting with your energy to offer insight and guidance about your life — your relationships, your career, your wellbeing, the path ahead. In a mediumship reading, I’m connecting with the spirit world to bring through messages from loved ones who have passed.

I work as both a psychic and a medium, and many sessions naturally blend the two. But it helps to know the difference so you can tell me what matters most to you.

Connecting With Loved Ones

For many of my clients, this is the main reason they book a reading. They’ve lost someone important and they want to know: are they okay? Are they still around? Can they hear me?

During a mediumship reading, I may receive names, physical descriptions, personality traits, shared memories, and specific details that are meaningful to you. The purpose isn’t to “prove” anything in a scientific sense — it’s to offer you comfort, healing, and the reassurance that the bond you shared with someone doesn’t end when their physical life does.

I should be upfront: I can’t guarantee who will come through, and messages don’t arrive like a perfectly scripted conversation. But when a genuine connection is made, it’s unmistakable — for both of us.

Clarity on Life’s Big Questions

Psychic readings are often sought by people at a crossroads. Should I change careers? Is this relationship right for me? Why do I feel so stuck? What’s my purpose?

I won’t make decisions for you — that’s not my role. But I can offer a different perspective by tuning into the energy around your situation. Think of it as having someone hold up a mirror and show you things you might not have noticed. Many clients say the reading confirmed something they already felt deep down but needed to hear out loud.

Emotional Healing and Closure

Grief doesn’t follow a timeline. Sometimes people come to me years after losing someone and are still carrying guilt, unanswered questions, or words they never got to say. A reading can’t replace grief counselling, and I would never suggest it should. But it can offer a unique form of comfort that many people find deeply healing.

Hearing that your loved one is at peace, that they’re aware of what’s happening in your life, or receiving a message that addresses something unresolved — these moments can be profoundly meaningful.

What a Reading Can’t Do

I believe in being transparent, so here are some important boundaries:

I’m not a doctor, therapist, or financial adviser. A reading should complement professional support, not replace it. If you’re dealing with serious health, mental health, or financial concerns, please seek appropriate professional help.

I can’t predict the future with certainty. I may pick up on potential directions, opportunities, or challenges, but your future isn’t set in stone. You have free will, and the choices you make every day shape what comes next.

I can’t read minds. I receive impressions, feelings, and messages — but I don’t know your PIN number or what you had for breakfast. The information that comes through is what’s most relevant and helpful for you at that moment.

So, Is It Worth It?

I’m biased, of course. But I’ve seen what a good reading can do for someone. I’ve watched people walk in weighed down by grief and walk out with a sense of peace they haven’t felt in years. I’ve seen someone stuck at a crossroads finally find the clarity to move forward. And I’ve had clients tell me that hearing from their mum, their dad, their child, or their partner changed everything for them.

A reading won’t solve all your problems. But it might give you something you didn’t know you needed.
